Met Office Visit 25th January

This is specifically tailored for pilots and was well attended with 50 pilots from the South Devon and Condors CLubs.  The evening started with coffee and an introduction to the services the met Office provide by Craig and Rossalind.
This was then followed by a tour of the very impressive facility and a chance to 'quiz' the staff over the forecast for the up and coming 'Frostbite' Comp the following weekend.
As the Met office did not charge us the £1.50 each, it was decided by the committee members present to purchase three bottles of wine for the employees who conducted the tour. Julie dropped them off today and received the following E Mail Thanks to Gordon for arranging a 1st class evening Thank you so much for the bottles you delivered today - there was absolutely no need, we really enjoy meeting people using our forecasts. I'm glad you enjoyed the evening, and if any of your members have any questions relating to weather, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.
